Council Structure
The State Executive Council (SEC) is the highest decision-making body in the state, comprising the Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, and Honorable Commissioners. Together, they formulate policies and oversee the execution of government programs.

Council Functions

The council deliberates and approves major projects, budgetary allocations, and legislative bills before they are sent to the House of Assembly. Every policy decision undergoes rigorous review to ensure alignment with state development goals.
Execution Monitoring
Ensuring that every executive directive is translated into tangible benefits for the citizens of Borno State through rigorous monitoring, evaluation, and performance tracking across all MDAs.
Meeting Schedule
The State Executive Council convenes weekly to review government operations, approve new initiatives, and address pressing state matters. Special sessions are called as needed to handle urgent issues.
